We have some interesting tasks for this year, including the Larson Creek estuary enhancement and Hadden Creek habitat improvement project developed with Capilano Golf & Country Club. Hatchery operations are in full swing with 102,000 chum and 30,000 coho fry scheduled to be released this spring. Read more.
We will launch two new initiatives in the coming year – a Herring Spawn Program and expanded Citizen Science. Our student program ran well during the fall and the hatchery is active with chum salmon eggs in incubation trays and coho eggs soon to arrive. Read more.
Work Plan 2017
Our plans for 2017 include protecting the mouth of Larson Creek to improve fish passage and improving about 600 metres of salmonid habitat on upper Hadden Creek. Read more.

We constructed a concrete fishway on Lawson Creek, fine-tuned estuary improvements on Rodgers and advanced plans for to enhance sections of Larson, Lawson and Hadden Creeks. Read more.
A busy summer saw us build a new fish ladder on Lawson Creek, continue planning for improvements to Hadden and Larson Creeks and launch two new initiatives: a herring spawn program and a citizen science program to monitor water quality in creeks. Read more.
