THE COHO CONUNDRUM
For many years we have depended on the "spawner salmon surveys" conducted each fall to enumerate returning adult salmon. For many years we have recorded the results of those surveys on our website. Other than Brothers and Hadden Creeks, we usually see only a few adult salmon in the other creeks we monitor. 2025 - Spawner Salmon Survey Results
Many thanks to Leslie Pomeroy, Anthea Cameron,John Barker streamkeeper vounteers and students for all their work organizing, supervising and compiling another years spawner salmon survey data. An important observation is that in many of our smaller creeks few or no coho spawners are observed. However, in our spring trap & release programme we find coho fry present in most of the observed creeks. Watch this space for an explanation of the"Coho Conundrum"!!

West Vancouver Streamkeeper Society - AGM
The Society's Annual General Meeting was held at the West Vancover Memorial Library on Novemger 24th, 2025. The meeting was chaired by Executive Director, Keith Pelletier and included a highly informative presentation by the leader of our Citizen's Science Group - John Wilcockson.
